At the very least, 16 separate incidents have claimed the lives of Palestinians due to Israeli air attacks in the Gaza Strip, including five members of one family, all killed in an early Sunday morning air strike on a camp for displaced persons in Deir el-Balah, according to Al Jazeera.
An eyewitness, Mahmoud Fayad, described the experience: “We woke up to a loud explosion in the middle of the night. We all rushed to the place where the loud screams were coming from only to find many civilians killed; an entire family-made man, wife, and their children.” It also left dozens injured, showing how unsafe and vulnerable the displaced citizens are within the region.

Another Israeli air strike hit a residential house in the al-Bureij camp on Sunday evening, further escalating violence with a reported 11 deaths. Palestinian officials have given allegations that there is a strategy from Israel for forced evacuations and buffer zones, but on the contrary, the Israeli military statements are said not to have anything with residents but only on Hamas-related operations.
As reported by the Gaza Health Ministry, the continuing clashes since October of last year, which has resulted in more than 44,708 deaths and 106,050 injuries among Palestinians, are still going strong.
On the 3rd day of continued bombardment by the Israelis, the siege on the Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahiya still persists: damage to important equipment has occurred as a result of shelling. “We have patients in the intensive care unit waiting for surgeries but cannot use the operating rooms until we restore power and oxygen,” said the hospital’s director, Hussam Abu Safia.
