Here, at least 21 lives were claimed, while 24 others sustained different kinds of injuries as a separate road accident occurred in Attock and further ash Naushahro Feroze today. In Attock district, 18 were killed and 17 injured when a passenger bus from Mianwali overturned near Fateh Jang on its way to Rawalpindi. Traffic authorities cited a burst tire as the cause that ultimately led to the driver losing control.
Meanwhile, in Naushahro Feroze, six people died after a passenger van crashed against a trailer on the road going out from Morro. Nine others were injured and shifted to a nearby hospital. According to officials, all deceased had the same surname and came from the tribe of those returning from a wedding.

Also, three suffered injuries after a van turned upside down on the national highway near Azam Chowk in Bahawalpur, they were sent to Bahawal Victoria Hospital to have medical care. A motorcyclist was also injured when a tractor road accident occurred near Wazirabad, killing three others and injuring others.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz lamented over the deaths in such unfortunate accidents. She expressed her sympathy to bereaved families while praying for early recovery for the injured. The Chief Minister instructed that the best medical facilities should be made available without much ado to the injured.
