In the last 24 hours, Lahore’s district administration has inspected a total of 2576 shops, markets, and malls and sealed 50 of such establishments for violating anti-smog SOPs. Besides, a total of 20,000Rs fines have been imposed on violators at 59 checkpoints.
Assistant commissioners (ACs) in various city tehsils inspected the establishments, with AC Model Town sealing 10 shops and fining Rs 20,000. The other ACs included those from Raiwind, Shalimar, and Allama Iqbal Town, who sealed multiple shops for non-compliance.
