A powerful 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck Tingri County in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China on January 7, 2025. The earthquake caused significant damage, collapsing many buildings and resulting in at least 95 fatalities and 130 injuries. Tremors were also felt in neighboring Nepal and parts of India.
