Sources revealed on Thursday that the Pakistan Cricket Board has rejected the hybrid model for the vision of the Men’s Champions Trophy 2025. In the hours leading up to the ICC board meeting, the PCB reaffirmed its stance and outrightly rejected proposals to hold the high-profile match between Pakistan and India at a neutral venue.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi insisted while saying that cricketing relations between the two countries should be on reciprocal terms, India’s refusal to play in Pakistan is “unacceptable.” He said, “Our stance is very clear. It is not acceptable that we play cricket in India, and they don’t play cricket here. Whatever we do, it will be based on equality. We have communicated this to the ICC and will ensure the best outcome for Pakistan cricket.”

Naqvi was to repeat the commitment that Pakistan should host the champions trophy fairly and said it should be taken up at the ICC.
