Over the last weekend, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, IT Minister, urged business consumers and freelancers to register their IPs for continuous access to virtual private networks (VPN) services. “We are fully conscious in our government’s efforts concerning safe communications-daunting them-theing toward making the process of activation and use of VPN easier, and until then it will remain as it is,” she said.
“Users thus need to register their IPs via the PTA website,”

Recent Cyber Attack concerning Safe Communications
After a serious cyber attack on Dewan Farooque Motors, which corrupted data and made servers crash, the importance of safe communication bore forth this statement.
Government Commitment
Khawaja said that the government is committed to making access to and use of these VPNs more easily done, but for now, the current registration process continues.
