The launch event for Huawei, set for December 12 in Dubai, will have the high-profile Mate X6 foldable smartphone making its global debut.
An event is organized under the theme “Unfold the Classic as a New Era of Flagship Foldable Excellence Begins”. However, it is going to be majorly dedicated to this device, which promises to set new benchmarks for foldables.
The Huawei Mate X6, which has already seen a China release, features a 7.93-inch LTPO 2.0 foldable display that is truly excellent when unfolded. It comprises a 6.45-inch LTPO 2.0 outer display when folded. However, the refresh rate for both screens boasts 120Hz smoothness, thereby ensuring fluid and responsive visuals.

For photographers, the Mate X6 has a triple camera comprising a 50MP main sensor, a 40MP ultrawide lens, and a 48MP telephoto macro lens.
There’s also a 5,200 mAh battery in the Huawei Mate X6, rated at 66W fast charging. This means that, at some point during the day, users can power up quickly and remain charged throughout the day. The phone also offers 50W wireless charging, 7.5W reverse wireless, and 5W reverse wired charging.
Along with the Mate X6, the manufacturer comes with several other upcoming products in this event, such as the MatePad Pro 13.2 tablet and the FreeBuds Pro 4 wireless earbuds. It might also feature a new Sapphire Gold edition of the Huawei Watch Ultimate.
While “global launch” does indeed mean that the company will introduce the Mate X6 internationally, it does not say anything about whether any other Mate series devices will meet that fate at this time. More information about the international availability of Huawei’s latest products will emerge on December 12.
