Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will begin its direct flights to Europe once more within ten days and the first city, among the two, will be Manchester and Paris. After the arrangements made by the airline, the commencement of flights would follow the grant of the final approval by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
Previously, PIA operated flights to destinations across Europe, including at least Barcelona, Birmingham, Bradford, and London, and now intends to add Copenhagen, Oslo, and Amsterdam.
And, apart from Europe, PIA will resume operations in New York after approval from the US. Six Boeing 777 aircraft have been earmarked for operations in Europe, the UK, and the US to revamp the international network.

The lifting of the EASA ban, which lasted for three years owing to safety and licensing concerns, comes as a major milestone for the aviation industry of Pakistan.
Khawaja Asif, the Defense and Aviation Minister, welcomed the decision saying improvements in safety and operations including audits have shown that Pakistani airlines are doing better than a number of other airlines globally.
