Recently, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and the Israeli Minister for Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer met in Washington D.C. on a very important note. Blinken insisted on the repatriation of all captives and emphasized an end to the conflict in Gaza. Briefly, this meeting extended to developing a post-conflict strategizing on governance, security, and reconstruction that is vital for Israel’s safety.
He indicated the continuing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, which should propel Israel to redouble its efforts in distributing aid across the region. The two officials discussed the newly announced ceasefire in Lebanon, where they are working to achieve a long-term solution for the safe return of Israeli and Lebanese citizens to their homes.

Secretary Blinken also confirmed that the United States would be unwavering in its engagement with Israel regarding security against threats arising from Iran and its proxy organizations.
