PMD forecasts low and usually dry weather during the next few days, covering almost the overall space of the country, with the most prominent cold weather in the northern parts. Fog patches are forecasted to develop through the plains of Punjab and upper Sindh, mostly in the early morning hours and during the night, and this could affect visibility and travel.
The continent creates an air mass that has established a current weather pattern across tens of thousands of square kilometers in the main part of the country. Scattered rain, wind, and thunderstorms have been identified in the Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeastern Balochistan, Punjab, and upper Sindh regions within the previous twenty-four hours with certain snow falling in Kalam whereas remaining regions of the country either reported generally cold or partly cloudy conditions.

The lowest temperature recorded in the country was at Leh, -8 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. Weather experts predict that air quality will improve significantly this festive season as there are two spells of rain. Such rains usually reduce smog caused or reduced visibility by fog.
