The Punjab Government has embarked on a U-turn and now introduced the revolutionary e-auction system to simplify acquiring registered vehicles with preference number plates. It offers citizens an opportunity to register their vehicles including bidding for their preferred vehicle number plates online using a dedicated mobile application and web portal.
The registration for the e-auction program is currently and will end on December 31, 2024, thus providing ample opportunity for individuals to shortlist and bid for their dream vehicle numbers.
Developed by the Punjab Excise and Taxation Department, in collaboration with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), offers a very efficient, user-friendly, and seamless experience regarding motorcycle and car number plates. In addition to the registration and bidding, a user can directly access auction results and winning details through the application.

Chairperson of PITB, Faisal Yousaf, appreciated the simplicity and convenience of the system and that e-auction will ensure easy registration and online bidding of vehicle numbers. This will also smoothen the user experience and accessibility in the bidding process contributing to making it convenient for citizens.
The progressive nature of this digital solution is a trademark of the Punjab Government, thus modernizing services leads citizens toward a more effective route to manage vehicle registration and number plate acquisition.
