Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) continues its rigorous campaign against gas theft, conducting raids in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad. During the latest operations, 136 illegal gas connections were disconnected, and fines amounting to Rs 9 million were imposed.
Key Details:
- Lahore: 36 illegal connections and 9 connections using gas compressors were disconnected, with fines totaling Rs 3.68 million.
- Faisalabad: 9 illegal connections and 1 compressor-based connection were disconnected, with fines amounting to Rs 0.07 million.
- Sheikhupura: 3 illegal connections were disconnected, imposing fines of Rs 3.18 million.
- Gujranwala: 2 illegal connections were terminated, and Rs 0.78 million in fines were imposed.

- Mardan (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa): 20 illegal connections were disconnected, with fines of Rs 1.22 million imposed on gas pilferers.
