One was found dead, while three others suffered injuries from a natural gas explosion in an apartment within the Beylikduzu district of Istanbul, Turkiye. The incident occurred at approximately 8:00 in the morning in the Adnan Kahveci neighborhood, a residential area located in the European part of Istanbul.

The explosion occurred as a result of a gas leak found at the entrance level of a 14-story apartment building. The emergency services, health, police, and firefighters were immediately called to the scene; and a sniffer dog was also brought in to assist in their search efforts. The Istanbul Fire Brigade stated that it confirmed the explosion was because of natural gas.
This explosion happened on the ground floor of a building at Topcu Street, Beylikduzu district, complete with Adnan Kahveci emergency teams rescuing residents on the upper floors as search operations continued.
An investigation into the matter is ongoing.
