The prestigious sailing and training ship of the Italian Navy, the ITS Amerigo Vespucci, has docked at Karachi Port, kicking off a goodwill visit for three days. This marks the first historic visit of this edifice to Pakistan. It was greeted with waves from the Pakistan Navy, the Italian Navy, and the Italian Ambassador to Pakistan, Marilina Armellin.
The visit reaffirms the increased collaboration and strengthening of diplomatic ties between Pakistan and Italy, particularly regarding maritime collaboration and naval relations. Described as one of the most beautiful ships in the world, the ITS Amerigo Vespucci serves as a training platform for the Italian Navy and a symbol of Italy’s maritime heritage.
