A notice on Kuwait’s official e-Visa portal states that the suspension is part of efforts to “develop and enhance” the system, but no specific timeline has been given. The Ministry of Interior oversees the e-Visa service and aims to create a more advanced and user-friendly process for international visitors.
During this transition, Kuwaiti authorities have clarified that citizens of the affected countries can still obtain a tourist visa upon arrival in Kuwait. Eligible travelers arriving at Kuwait International Airport can apply for a single-entry tourist visa valid for three months at immigration checkpoints. Applicants must present a passport valid for at least six months from the date of entry, a return or onward ticket, and pay a visa fee of 3 Kuwaiti dinars (KWD). Visitors must also not be on Kuwait’s blacklist and are required to provide a valid residential address for their stay.
