The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Govt has announced the last rites for its deceased workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) at the Minar e Pakistan on December 25 and has challenged Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz to hold an ally on the same date.
K-P officials are confident that their gathering in support of Imran Khan will attract more people than the opposition party’s event. This announcement was made by Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sohail Afridi during a K-P Assembly session on Monday.

Afridi said, adding that the values in this country have become low, the murder of innocent people in a crackdown on unarmed protesters on November 26. Hence, they went to D-Chowk in Islamabad, asserting their constitutional and legal rights. If former prime minister Imran Khan had not been unjustly imprisoned, they would not have been forced to protest in the capital.
He also mentioned that they had been damaged during the last two and a half years and had not yet been paid any justice; the PTI workers had also written letters to the judges seeking intervention by Afridi, who mentioned that so long a resistance movement existed; in addition, all the party leadership is being cursed in a contest of legal and constitutional rights.
Afridi challenged PML-N to hold a rally in Punjab on December 25, stating that if the PTI rally failed to attract more people than the PML-N’s, he would resign. However, Pashtuns have always stood against injustice and will not bow to oppression. He further remarked that those who have exploited the blood of Pashtun people should not lecture them.
