The Punjab provincial cabinet has upped the budget to Rs. 3.44 billion for establishing Model Bazaars in 13 additional districts, surpassing the initial proposal of Rs. 2.5 billion. This move aims to cater to public demand, support local businesses, and provide relief from rising living costs.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz applauded the success of existing Model Bazaars, where essential goods are available at prices lower than government-set rates. These markets assist millions in managing household expenses while creating employment opportunities.
