During the second day of her visit to China, the Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif was able to attend high-level meetings with officials of the Communist Party of China (CPC) since the meeting is important for bilateral ties.
Early that day, she also went to the CPC International Department, where she met warmly with Minister Liu Jianchao. It must be noted that the minister expressed such during the meeting that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz saluted and said “thank you” estimated. She also made this character statement underlining the important contributions of the CPC: “Under its astute leadership, China has become a remarkable global power; it acknowledged the vital role integrated by the CPC in maintaining strong ties between Pakistan and China.
“The leadership of China has taken the country into an age of transformation comparable to the great many lessons it can now teach Pakistan,” she noted. While referring to the two countries, the Chief Minister called it “as strong as steel and tested over time.” She also said that the strategic partnership does not crumble at regional and global challenges.

Thus, Maryam Nawaz is focusing on discussed areas of cooperation where China could be used in similar local governance, rural development, and vocational training. She called for active collaborations to empower young people and build their capacities. “We have placed high importance on China’s empowerment as it speaks volume about other programs we could potentially mirror,” she stated.
Making cultural and people-to-people exchanges also a significant aspect of the nation’s life, the Chief Minister would still throw in the riches of the ancient Silk Road, remembering the ties of the two countries, and assure a permanence of these ties through sustainable cultural initiatives between Punjab and China.
Indeed, Minister Liu Jianchao welcomed the visit of Maryam Nawaz and promised his support in further strengthening ties between CPC and Pakistan. He maintained that Pak-China relations are perpetual relations by stating that they serve as a model for regional and international cooperation.
The Chief Minister ended by advising that the youths engage in preserving the common legacy of friendship between Pakistan and China. She appears hopeful regarding more collaboration in the future and expressed deep gratitude on behalf of the CPC leadership for such warm hospitality.
