Responding to media reports suggesting India’s non-participation in the Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said they are waiting for a formal letter from BCCI and the Indian authorities.
Official Response
It is to be noted by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi that even though there are reports in the Indian media that the Indian team will not be going to Pakistan for champion trophy 2025, there is no official word from BCCI or the government of India on this matter.
Continued Preparations
Naqvi further stressed that Pakistan will move forward with its preparations for the contest, which is scheduled to be held from February 19 to March 9, 2025, in the cities of Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi. He expressed confidence in India’s backing.
A Proposed Mixed Model
According to Naqvi, the subject of a hybrid model for the tournament has not been discussed. However, if India formally turns down their invitation, he will look up the Pakistan administration.

ICC Delegation Visit
An ICC delegation is expected in Lahore from more than 10th to 11th November 2022 to assess the readiness of Pakistan and will also possibly announce the tournament schedule.
Conclusion
The PCB is still waiting for confirmation in the form of a letter from India about its involvement in the Champions Trophy 2025 and is bent on organizing the event in Pakistan.
