Dates for the players’ draft for the historic 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) have been announced, to be held on 11 January 2025. This announcement was made through a 26-second promo shared on the social media pages of the league with the caption: “The countdown begins.”

A major meeting within this week will be held to talk about such important issues as the registration of local and foreign players which are soon to get kick-started. Franchises have proposed the foreign draft to take place in England or Dubai to enhance the global footprint of the league. They further stressed the need to attract big names from abroad, especially those players who missed in the mega auction recently done by the Indian Premier League (IPL).
In this regard, the PCB made it clear to the franchises that it would make every effort to attract prime overseas players and contribute financially to the franchises to pick up the best international ones. Besides, franchise representatives have asked the PCB to finalize arrangements with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) to achieve English cricketers’ participation in the upcoming season.
