But Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif praised Ambassador Siddique for his contribution to boosting peace and relationship between Pakistan and its eastern neighbor, whose people share a long history, share a common faith, and whose cultures are somewhat similar. Wishing warm regards to Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the Prime Minister emphasized that the goodwill between Pakistan and Bangladesh must be converted into action.

Siddique congratulated the Prime Minister on the facilitation and courtesies shown during his stay in Pakistan.
Recently, the two countries signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement, aiming to strengthen bilateral ties in areas such as trade and defense production, and signing the Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT). It is expected that its Pakistan-Bangladesh Joint Economic Commission (JEC) would prove crucial in this regard, as it is going to meet in Dhaka in late December or early January. According to the High Commissioner of Pakistan to Dhaka, the present government of Bangladesh has very maximum goodwill towards Pakistan, and all major parties are quite positive regarding the further development of bilateral relations.
