Pakistan was represented at the 2024 FIFA Extraordinary Congress, which was held virtually on Zoom, by Haroon Malik, Chairman of the PFF Normalisation Committee. This unique session brought member associations together worldwide to discuss critical football affairs under the auspices of FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
A major highlight of the Congress was the announcement by President Infantino, declaring Saudi Arabia as the official and sole host of the FIFA World Cup 2034. Haroon Malik congratulated Mr. Yasser Al Misehal on this historical event.

“On behalf of the Pakistan Football Federation and the entire football fraternity of Pakistan, I congratulate Saudi Arabia and Mr. Yasser Al Misehal for the FIFA World Cup 2034 hosting rights,” said Malik.
Suspending or expelling member associations, thereby ensuring conformity with FIFA’s statutes, was also discussed in the Congress. Member associations will collaborate in molding the future governance of football and the sport’s development worldwide.
