Ambassador Qureshi Confirms 4 Pakistani Deaths in Greek Boat Tragedy

In an address with scant conjunctures for his finding any Missing Pakistani alive from the recent Greek boat tragedy, Amir Aftab Qureshi, the Ambassador of Pakistan in Greece, shared during a small press gathering in Athens that four Pakistanis have been confirmed dead in that particular incident.

He said that the boat, with more than 80 people aboard, surfaced from very deep waters. “Rescue operations are ongoing, but hopes are fading,” he mentioned. The ambassador explained that the Pakistanis were part of a group traveling on five boats from the Libyan coast. One of the boats cracked and sank in the waters.

He ensured that arrangements would be made to send the victims’ bodies back to Pakistan.
