A reaffirmation from the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Pakistan’s commitment to CICA’s vision of a common, cooperative, comprehensive, and sustainable security in Asia. He virtually participated in the seventh Ministerial Meeting of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), hosted by CICA Chair Azerbaijan.
The forum deliberated on the strengthening of cooperation in the region to promote peace and progress toward sustainable development in Asia. Deputy Prime Minister Dar affirmed the immense potential of CICA in addressing the major challenges faced by the region, including conflicts, political disputes, and endemic poverty.

He reiterated the importance of dialogue mutual respect and obedience to international law and called for fair and inclusive political solutions to long-term conflicts, such as Palestine and Kashmir. He stressed that connectivity initiatives like the BRI and CPEC will help foster shared growth and improve infrastructure and trade across Asia.
Dar said these can inspire models for financial cooperation and regional prosperity. As a founding member of CICA, Pakistan is committed to promoting peace, security, stability, and prosperity in Asia.
