A plethora of unidentified drones spotted across various locations in the US, particularly in the northeast, was confirmed as not posing any threat to national security or public safety by government agencies on Tuesday. As President Joe Biden also addressed these reports, “Nothing nefarious apparently. There are a lot of drones authorized. We are following this closely. So far no sense of danger”.
Witnesses claimed to have spotted a number of these flying objects in the heavens for weeks. Speculations of foreign meddling have spawned panics and allegations of a government cover-up.
Government departments including the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense, FBI, and FAA released a joint statement, which said: “We have not identified anything anomalous, and do not assess the activity to date to present a national security or public safety risk over the civilian airspace of New Jersey or other states in the northeast.

They added, saying, “Having closely scrutinized the technical data and tips from concerned citizens, we assess that sightings to date would be a mix of lawful commercial drones, hobbyist drones, law enforcement drones, as well as manned fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, and stars mistakenly reported as drones”.
While U.S. officials have scoffed at rumors of foreign involvement, even the more far-fetched claims that drones are coming from an Iranian or Chinese “mothership” at sea.
However, despite all that assurance, video clips of mysterious flying phenomena keep flooding social media, keeping people’s minds curious and worried.
