At a time when Iran and Pakistan call for collaborative efforts against the scourges of extremism and terrorism, as well as the promotion of peace in the region, Iranian Ambassador Dr. Amiri Moghadam and Minister of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Chaudhry Salik Hussain met to discuss various proposals for encountering terrorism and sectarianism.

This was an effective essay on the need for dialogue across religions and cultures to achieve harmony. The meeting also discussed strengthening economic, trade, and cultural ties between countries. The Iranian ambassador invited Chaudhry Salik Hussain to participate in the International Quran Conference in Iran next month.
Terrorism and extremism have a long history of being a part of the antimorals of both these nations, killing thousands and destroying economies worth billions of dollars. Addressing them is of strategic concern for the development as well as stability of the region.
