Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has returned to Pakistan after a two-day visit to Cairo for the 11th D-8 Summit. The summit, themed “Investing in Youth and Supporting SMEs: Shaping Tomorrow’s Economy,” gathered leaders talking about economic cooperation.

At the airport, Dr. Sameh Ahmed El-Henawy, Egypt’s Minister of Civil Aviation, along with officials from the Pakistani Embassy in Cairo, bid farewell to the prime minister. PM Shehbaz brought during the summit to the attention of attendees the situations of humanitarian disaster and reconstruction problems in Gaza and Lebanon and their addresses to the impact of Israeli aggression in the Middle East.
On the sidelines of the summit, he held bilateral talks with several world leaders, including Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, and Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser Dr. Yunus.
