In his annual press conference, President Vladimir Putin assured on Thursday that the Russia-China relations had reached “an unprecedented level” because of the high degree of mutual trust that characterizes their relationship. Speaking at his annual press conference, Putin extolled the level of China-Russia relations, saying that it was based on mutual trust in all the things that Moscow and Beijing did to support each other’s interests. Trade volume reportedly stands at nearly 240 billion dollars, with continuing growth in future cooperative endeavors proving to be stable. “Moreover, we have almost six hundred joint investment projects,” he said.

According to Putin, relations with China serve as an instrument of stability in international relations. “We regularly, almost always, coordinate our actions on the global stage, which is a significant element of international affairs,” he said.
“With the most losses, Russia and China are the two countries to win during World War II that are most affected by the consequences of this war.”
These two countries also have been closely interacting at all possible levels and in all sectors. Dmitry Medvedev, Chairman of the United Russia party, recently journeyed to China. This was followed by the attendance of the National Secretary, the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Sergei Shoigu, at Airshow China 2024. In October, Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov had also traveled to the capital city of China.
