PTI Drafts Demands for Negotiations with Government

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has already lined up demands for upcoming negotiations with the government, mainly considering the release of political prisoners, followed by judicial inquiry of major occurrences.

“PTI sources have revealed a list of more than 5,000 political captives compiled with the name of former prime minister Imran Khan being placed on top. During the offer PTI will press for an immediate release of these prisoners and will call for the establishment of a judicial commission for investigating the events of May 9 and November 26.”

It would consist of three senior judges of the Supreme Court- this is how PTI has laid out them in their draft.

This is coming as a reply to a suggestion by the Speaker of the National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif should form an in-house government negotiation committee.

The composition of this committee involves Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Rana Sanaullah, Senator Irfan Siddiqui, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Syed Naveed Qamar, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Abdul Aleem Khan, and Chaudhry Salik Hussain.

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar has welcomed the formation of the committee, saying it is a constructive step toward a dialogue.
