Casualties reported after an explosion at a manufacturing firm belonging to Balikesir province of Turkey have occurred. So far, the explosive incident has reportedly killed 12 people while 5 others sustained injuries. The incident occurred within the capsule production parts of the factory, one of the main production plants in the defense industry of Turkey. Authorities are yet to formally identify the cause of the explosion, although sabotage has been eliminated from the possibilities.

It was at precisely 8:25 am. local time that the incident took place. That very minute brought significant damage, breaking out shards of glass and metals outside the gates of the said plant. Naturally, although fire crews and emergency services were sent to combat the flame, they were also called to attend to the victims.
This creates a lot of concern for public welfare and the preservation of safety standards in such institutions as well as environmental disasters. An investigation has been launched by the government of Turkey to establish the facts leading to the incident and the way forward to avoid repeats in the future.
