The Lahore High Court (LHC) has ordered all schools to re-register schools within a month of non-compliance with the school bus policy. However, Justice Shahid Karim has given all these orders in hearing the case regarding the current ongoing smog crisis while stressing adherence to strict environmental standards.

With regard to the registration of schools, such schools must now operate buses for registration. Newly established schools have to provide transportation for their students as per this directive.
The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has also been charged with this activity of assessment of city roads, judging traffic flow, and drawing traffic management measures for the ease of congestion. All of these immediate actions on traffic rules will show the way toward timely implementation of directives to solve the problems that smog causes in Lahore.
