Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Advisor on Information Barrister Dr. Saif challenged Federal Minister Atta Tarar’s claims regarding KP finances, stating that he twisted the white paper of the federal government.
Barrister Saif attacked Tarar for making what he termed absurd comments and ridiculed his remarks about the economy of KP, implying that they had made economists howl with laughter.

Clarifying the KP debt position, he said, The total liability of PKR 725 billion is equal to the general debt that the federal government borrows in a month. He accused the federal administration of increasing KP’s debt as a result of rupee depreciation and a rise in the foreign exchange rate, which put on account an additional PKR 350 billion in the province.
Narrating achievements, Barrister Saif stated that over 780,000 persons were given treatment under the Sehat Card program in nine months. He also justified the Chief Minister’s appointment as Chancellor of universities on the grounds of encumbrances put by the Governor in appointing vice-chancellors.
He wound it up by criticizing the last caretaker government for ineffective regulation of social media.
