Belgium is banning disposed electronic cigarettes starting from 1st January 2025. The move is part of a health-related anti-tobacco scheme that targets beads for the health of young people. Health Minister Frank Vandenbroucke clearly stated that there was a form of disposable e-cigarettes that turned into health hazards to teenagers and worsened environmental issues through their plastic and lithium battery parts.

Health workers and greenkeepers have welcomed the news. For young users and shop owners, however, the ban has caused concern and confusion. It will now require some changes for both retailers and consumers as the country hopes to reduce health problems caused by tobacco as well as its impact on the environment.
