The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) met presided over by the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar. Approved are 7 development projects amounting to rupees 217 billion.
The meeting was attended by the Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal, the Federal Minister for Finance, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, Ministers from Provincial and Federal Secretaries.

It approved the extension in scope of the Irrigation component of the Sindh Emergency Flood Rehabilitation Project with a revised scope for the CAREC Corridor road infrastructure project from Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces.
It also approved the revised scope of the Karachi Water Supply and Sewerage Improvement Project at Rs 25.4 billion and approved also the GRADES project’s adaptation by the World Bank for Punjab to improve attendance and learning outcomes in its schools.
