The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has come up with a new version of the B Form for kids aged 10 and above. The updated B Form now attaches mandatory fingerprints and photographs to increase security against identity theft or misuse.

According to Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, a phased start of issuing this improved B-Form will be on January 15, 2025. The above measures aim to eliminate the problems associated with fake identity cards, illegal passports, and human trafficking.
Children from the age of 10, but less than 18, must move with one of their parents or legal guardians to any NADRA center along with their parent’s computerized identity card and the computerized birth certificate of the child.
