Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, chaired the preparatory committee meeting for the International Conference on Girls Education in Muslim Communities: Challenges and Opportunities,” hosted by Pakistan on January 11-12, 2025.

Attending the meeting were the Minister of Youth Affairs, Rana Mashood Ahmad Khan, the Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), among other senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training.
The committee reviewed the extensive preparations for an agenda that promises to be very elaborate. Among the subjects for discussion will be the obstacles to girls’ education, the social and economic benefits of girls’ education, and innovative approaches to advancing educational equity.
