For the escalating law and order case, Section 144 has been applied for Kurram district, which will continue for two months since the shooting deputy commissioner was seriously injured and a case has been registered with the Counter Terrorism Department police station. FIR was filed by Additional SHO Ahmadi Shama against the terrorism and attempted murder charges.

The district administration confirmed Section 144, which prohibits public display of firearms, firing in the air, as well as gatherings of more than five people, from further misuse by mischief-makers and the restoration of normalcy. The Home Department also released a notification regarding the implementation of Section 144.
Authorities raised serious concerns about the rising threats in the district and the necessity for such strict measures for the safety of residents and order maintenance.
