Snow and Rain Weather Expected in Most Parts of Pakistan

The greater part of the nation is predicted to be almost completely dry and cold, with a few wet areas in the form of rain and snow.

However, most of the central sections of the nation are anticipated to be cold and dry. Nonetheless, it is also possible that some upper regions of Khyber Pakhtoon Khwa, Kashmir, and other surrounding hilly regions may be overcast. There are possibilities of rainfall and hailstorms along with high winds, especially in the hilly regions. Fog or smog is expected in the early and late hours in Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Okara, Hafizabad, Jhang, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Multan, Sahiwal, Khanewal, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan and regions around them. In the capital city of Islamabad and its adjoining regions, few clouds will be present. However, gusty winds and thundershowers may occur. Most parts of the province are, however, expected to be cool and dry.

Over the regions of Peshawar, Swabi, Charsadda, Mardan, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistani, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Buner, Malakand, Bajaur, Mohmand, Kohat, and Khyber clouds are expected with chances of rain and snow in the hilly areas. Mostly dry weather is expected over the majority of Balochistan districts but the weather in the hilly and or mountainous region may be chilly in the early hours and late in the night. In the same manner, dry weather will be observed in most of the regions of Sindh. Light smog or fog is expected to prevail during the morning hours in Kashmore, Sukkur, Jacobabad, Tando Jam, and adjoining regions.

In the territories of Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, as well as in the regions of Jammu and Ladakh, cold, cloudy weather has been forecast, along with light rains and snowfall in some of the areas. Among the lowest recorded temperatures on this day are -4°C at Skardu, -3°C at Gopis, and -1°C at Gilgit.
