Ministry Launches Pak Hajj App for Pilgrims

The Ministry of Religious Affairs programmed Hajj 2025 through the launch of the Pak Hajj app.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has inaugurated the “Pak Hajj” app to the pilgrims and the guidance for their upcoming hajj. The app, which is available for Android and iPhone, keeps applicants informed with step-by-step information throughout the journey. It includes the timings, dates, and venues for the training schedule for Hajj. Flight schedules, with departures and returns from and to cities and timings, are also included in the application. Through maps, pilgrims can navigate routes and locations in Makkah, Madinah, and Mushaira.

Quota for Hajj 2025 and procedure to apply for it in Pakistan

The government of Saudi Arabia has allocated a quota of 179,210 pilgrims to Pakistan for Hajj 2025. From Monday, fifteen designated banks began receiving applications for Hajj. So far, 15844 applications have been filled, 8860 of which have been from Islamabad, 5968 from Lahore, and 3392 from Karachi. For the first time, the government has permitted the cost of Hajj to be paid in installments. An allocated applicant will pay Rs. 2,00,000 with the application, followed by Rs. 4,00,000 within ten days of balloting. The last portion is to be cleared by 10th February 2025.

Applications of the Pak Hajj app

This app provides in-depth information, making the pilgrimage easier for the applicants. Training schedules, flight information, and navigation maps to critical areas within Saudi Arabia have been included. Such features have been laid to help pilgrims throughout their journey, ensuring that they have all the requisite information well within reach.

Conclusion: With the Pak Hajj being introduced, this will not be the last but a major step towards harmonizing and organizing journeys for pilgrims.
