Best known for adding the Huawei Mate 70 and Mate 70 Pro to their existing range, the new releases provide design, display, and camera capability advancements. The Mate 70 is ultra slim at 7.8mm and has a flat frame. Being IP69-rated, it protects against water and dust. Motherboard assembly includes second-generation Kunlun Glass for all models in the series.
Both models come with a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display in Mate 70, while the Mate 70 Pro has a slightly bigger screen, measuring 6.9 inches. Both feature FHD+ resolution and a 1-120Hz variable refresh rate, producing up to 2500 nits brightness. In short, one can read them even under bright sunlight. Colors indulging the user are Spruce Green, Hyacinth Purple, Snow White, and Obsidian Black.

Internally, while Huawei has yet to confirm it, sources speculate that the series comes with the Kirin 9100, a 6nm-based processor. Both devices run HarmonyOS 4.3, with upgrades to HarmonyOS Next expected. Its side-mounted fingerprint scanner also offers a multifunctional button, allowing extras like flash-on toggling and AI helper activation with gestures.

Both phones, thus, have a 50MP main camera with variable aperture and OIS, joined by a 40MP ultrawide sensor. The Mate 70 carries a 12MP periscope camera with 5.5x optical zoom. The Mate 70 Pro, however, comes with a 48MP periscope lens with 4x optical zoom capability. Further, a new spectral imaging sensor improves color accuracy and how natural skin tones look under tricky lighting conditions.
