Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Ali Amin Gandapur deployed his official helicopter for emergency shipment of lifesaving medicines to Kurram district which also remained inaccessible by road due to heavy rains.
As per the provincial government sources, the helicopter has already delivered two consignments of essential medicines, including life-saving drugs, worth Rs 6.3 million to the affected area.
The chief minister further directed that helicopter deliveries will continue on a daily basis until the land routes of the district are re-opened.
To make sure that the delivery is uninterrupted, the health adviser and secretary were assigned to supervise the work personally.

“The life-saving medicines should always be there,” CM Gandapur said. “And therefore, air deliveries must last until the ground is reconnected.”
The chief minister also reiterated the commitment of the provincial government to the speedy utilization of all resources in the timely supply of medical supplies to the citizens of Kurram district.
