South Indian superstar Allu Arjun has reacted to the disastrous stampede that broke out during the first showing of Pushpa 2: The Rule at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad. A woman named Revathi died in the stampede and her son was injured, as a result of the pandemonium that broke out after the announcement concerning Arjun’s visit to the event.
The authorities have now registered cases against Allu Arjun and his team for failing to inform the police about the arrangements made for crowd control in the first place. Such a planning laxity has led to an unfortunate tragedy above all the excitement about the movie’s release.
The actor expressed his immense sadness over this incident through a video that he shared on X. Along with that, he also conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family. “Deeply heartbroken by the tragic incident at Sandhya theatre. My heartfelt condolences go out to the grieving family in this very imagination-less painful time,” quoted the actor.

Allu assured the deceased’s family would be there for them regardless of when they needed his presence and that he would come to them with all sobriety to stay clear for them while in mourning. The amount of thirty thousand dollars in assistance was revealed to be given to the family of the deceased besides other expenses incurred in treating the injured because “this is our way of showing that we are there for you, especially for the children in the family,” he said.
Arjun stated in reference to the incident. “We never thought that while visiting the premiere of Pushpa at RTC Crossroads [in Hyderabad], we would hear such tragic news the next day,” he recalled with sadness. It was truly disheartening to hear that a family was injured, and a lady named Revathi died due to her injuries.”
