The most recent update on macOS Sequoia 15.2 by Apple made the line-up of MacBook Air models clear. Software leaks are showing that Apple would be launching two refreshed models 13-inch version and a 15-inch version that would support the upcoming M4 chipset.
Besides this dimension, the subsequent applications would have no redefined design changes. The newly updated devices have been found in Mac files named ‘Mac16.12’ and ‘Mac16.13’, as these names perfectly correspond to the naming norms for the changed MacBook Air that came out in the files. This also verifies that no display sizes will change in the new laptops, as most will simply include possible changes in hardware. It is, after all, a very similar approach to the last M4 MacBook Pro release done recently.

By preserving the design in the M4 MacBook, Apple places value-in this case performance rather than aesthetics when presenting value for such a new model. Take, for example, a standard offering of 512 GB storage and 16 GB memory on board: M4 MacBook Pro. This was perhaps important to most customers; external designs generally remained the same over the years.
The cost of the M4 MacBook Air could be between its teeth. With discounted prices of $1,099 on the 13-inch with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, the M3 MacBook Air stands where it is supposed to really keep the interests of consumers without being stuck in the newest hardware. Assumed pricing starts at $1,199.
Though there is nothing to state by Apple in such terms, the most likely projection would be that of the production for the M4 MacBook Air to start immediately from this point, making it a probable foray for the year 2025.
