An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Friday denied petitions filed by more than a dozen PTI leaders including party founder Imran Khan against the indictment regarding the GHQ attack case. The verdict read by ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah expired against the petitions by Imran Khan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Fawad Chaudhry, and Sheikh Rashid.

Leaders have challenged the indictment concerning the May 9 attack on the Pakistan Army’s General Headquarters (GHQ) stationed in Rawalpindi. Apart from these, five other PTI leaders, including MNA Ahmad Chattha, petitioned the court for approval to travel abroad for Umrah purposes.
The court adjourned further till tomorrow. Earlier, the ATC had indicted Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Ali Amin Gandapur, Shehryar Afridi, retired Colonel Shabbir Awan, Latif Satti, Umar Tanveer Butt, Shibli Faraz, and Kanwal Shozeb. All accused denied the charges.
So far, 113 people have been charged in the GHQ attack case from the violent incidents that occurred on May 9.
