Musawir, a 10-year-old boy abducted around a week ago from a school van in Quetta, has not been recovered, prompting a provincewide wheel-jam strike today in Balochistan. The strike, announced by the family of the victim with other political parties, teacher organizations, and transporters, has almost succeeded in paralyzing daily life in many places.

The N-25 Quetta-Chaman National Highway has been blocked at Khanozai, Muslim Bagh, and Qila Saifullah, while the N-70 Highway has also been blocked at Loralai Mukhtar and Rara Hashim. It has also led to the closure of the Quetta-Karachi National Highway, with train service also suspended on the Quetta-Chaman route.
The educational institutions have been closed in cities like Chaman, Kohlu, and Khuzdar; the examinations scheduled for the day were canceled. So far, there are no updates from authorities about the abducted child, raising public anger and demands for urgent action.
