Pakistan Celebrates 148th Birth Anniversary of Quaid e Azam

Pakistan commemorates today the 148th birth anniversary celebration of Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, paying a respectful tribute to the Father of the Nation through immense national zeal and fervor.

This day has been declared a public holiday, as a kickoff started with special gun salutes in the federal and provincial capitals. The national flag is hoisted atop all public and private buildings in the country, embodying unity and patriotism.

An elegant changing of guard ceremony was held this morning at Mazar-e-Quaid, Karachi, where representatives of the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) took over the duties of guarding the mausoleum – a proud tradition honoring the great leader.

People are organizing prayers and ceremonial events at his tomb and around the country in the name of Jinnah’s vision and leadership. Quran Khawani happens to be organized at the mausoleum in Karachi to pray for his soul and recognize his irreplaceable contributions to the making of Pakistan.

This day is a reminder of the guiding principles of unity, faith, and discipline that Quaid-e-Azam preached, lifting the spirits of progress and development among the people.
