Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken convened yesterday with Chairman Lê Hoài Trung of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s External Relations Committee in Washington, D.C. Significance was reiterated by the Secretary and Chairman concerning the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and the United States while further examining platforms to deepen bilateral relation development. They deliberated upon the imperatives of preserving a free, open, and stable Indo-Pacific region.
The Secretary and the Chairman concurred to persist in exploring avenues to augment collaboration between our two nations about their Indo-Pacific strategy on developing regional institutions and responding to emerging developments.
