The district’s administration in Peshawar has banned buses and vans from using the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) route to take measures against the road conditions of the city.
The meeting included the Deputy Commissioner and many relevant officials, and they discussed the increasing congestion caused by rickshaws and loaders.

Other than that, besides banning buses and vans, the committee has also decided to ban rickshaws on major roads like Khyber Road, University Road (from Tehkal to Islamia College), and Saddar Road (from the State Bank to Balour Plaza).
Such provisions are attached to facilitating effective management of traffic in Peshawar and reducing congestion in vehicles across the city.
