In agreement with President Donald Trump regarding the return of illegal Colombian migrants from the US, Colombia acquiesced to all terms in dispute earlier. The White House said on Sunday that Colombia is accepting all illegal Colombian nationals that have been returned from the United States, including by U.S. military aircraft, without restriction and without delay.
Otherwise, under this agreement, if Colombia fails to comply with it, fully drafted IEEPA tariffs and sanctions will be held in abeyance and not signed. The visa sanctions by the State Department and increased inspections by Customs and Border Protection shall remain in effect until the successful repatriation of the first planeload of Colombian deportees.

President Trump said that today’s events show respect for America in the international community. He reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining the sovereignty of the United States and anticipated full cooperation of other countries in accepting the deportation of their nationals illegally within the United States.
Earlier, Colombian President Gustavo Petro had promised to respond after Trump announced “urgent and decisive retaliatory measures” against Colombia. The diplomatic row arose because Petro refused to accept US military aircraft carrying deported migrants as part of the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown.
Trump’s retaliatory measures included a 25% tariff on all Colombian goods entering the United States to increase by 50% within a week, a travel ban, a complete visa sanction on members and supporters of the Colombian Government, and implementation of emergency financial sanctions.
