The government has announced very important changes in fuel prices: petrol price has risen by 0.56 rupees per liter to reach a price of 252.66 rupees per liter. A high-speed diesel has seen a bigger increase, by 2.96 rupees per liter, making it 258.34 rupees per liter.

The plus point of it all is that it has reduced the cost of LPG by 47.43 rupees for an 11.8 kg cylinder from 3,000 to 2,953.36 rupees. This reduction in the price of cooking gas will bring some relief to households that use LPG in their kitchens.
